Prostate cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting men, yet there is currently no single definitive test for its detection. Among the available diagnostic tools, the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test plays a key role in identifying potential early signs of the disease.

The Adult Front Door (AFD) is the gateway to Adult Social Care services in Worcestershire.

The majority of people we spoke with described a good experience of their contact with the Adult Front Door. People who phoned the AFD were satisfied with how quickly they were able to book a telephone appointment.

In recent weeks, you may have seen media reports regarding the Secretary of State for Health’s plans to abolish 200 arms-length bodies as part of the new 10-year NHS plan. This will include Healthwatch England and Local Healthwatch. We also understand that the legislation to make this change will be in place in October 2026.

Our latest annual report showcases the positive impact we've made on health and social care services across Worcestershire over during 2024-25.

This report focuses on identifying the key challenges faced by the Worcestershire Local Area Partnership in delivering Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services to children and young people, specifically in response to our ongoing commitment to addressing issues related to Learning Disabilities and Autism.
