We have recently published two reports; Children and Young People’s Mental Health Report and Service User and Carer Experience of the Mental Health Home Treatment Service Report.
The Children and Young people’s Report gathered experiences of of accessing mental health services, to identify progress made as part of Worcestershire’s Transformation Plan for Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health. We gathered feedback from 233 parents, carers and young people. The report makes a number of recommendations for Commissioners and Worcestershire Health and Care Trust in relation to –
• Information for parents, carers and young people
• Access to appropriate support
• Waiting times for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
• Satisfaction with CAMHS service
• Support for children with Autism Spectrum Conditions
The Service User and Carer Experience if the Mental Health Home Treatment Service Report followed the redesigned service following consultation by Worcestershire Health and Care Trust in 2016. We gathered the experiences of 49 service users and 6 carers. The findings were largely positive. The report makes a number of recommendations in relation to –
• Co-production of Care Plans
• Knowledge of how to make a complaint
• Capturing carer details
• Information about medication and their side effects
• Transition at end of home treatment

Over the next couple of months, we will be out an about giving you the opportunity to have your say on the NHS Long Term Plan and how changes will be implemented locally.
