Worcester News Article – 4th October
We have been so pleased to be back out and about visiting groups and community centres around Worcestershire to speak to people face-to-face over the last couple of weeks. As part of our engagement around digital access to healthcare, we have been talking to people about their experiences of remote health appointments by phone and video call and how they find accessing information and communication with health services using the internet.
We are aware that this is something not everyone finds easy, so are keen to hear people’s views. We have visited services for people who are homeless, including St Paul’s Hostel in Worcester and Maggs Day Centres in Worcester and Malvern. We have been to Simply Limitless in Kidderminster, Community Connector groups run by Worcester Community Trust, the Home Group in Worcester and ASPIE, a social support group for adults with Asperger Syndrome. We have also attended a number of community health and wellbeing partnerships groups, in Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Malvern Hills and the Learning Disability Partnership Board to talk about the work we are doing and are grateful to many of the voluntary organisations and community groups who also attend for their support in gathering people’s views via our survey.
Please contact us if you would like any copies of our survey or would like us to visit your group. We can send out paper copies with prepaid reply envelopes or ask people the questions by phone. The survey can also be completed online via our website. This Thursday we will be at the Showcase of Services for Older People in Kidderminster Town Hall from 10am. If you are in the area do pop in to see what is happening and have a chat with us.
Please get in touch to share your experiences of local health and social care service in confidence, to help us to make a difference by highlighting any issues and concerns and how services can be improved. You can call us on 01386 550264 or email us at email@example.com or give your feedback via the Tell Us page of our website www.healthwatchworcestershire.co.uk
