Worcester News Article – 4th November

One of our roles is to gather experiences from people about using local health and social care services. Over the last 3 months we have spoken to over 1000 people. We attended events, visited groups, held our own events and visited services. This gives us the opportunity to find out people’s experiences, carry out surveys on specific topics and raise awareness of our work. One of the focussed pieces of work we have done was around people’s experiences of Fracture Clinic at Worcester Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Kidderminster Treatment Centre. This report and many others can be found on our website.

Another way in which we engage with people is through our Reference and Engagement Group (REG), a virtual network of local voluntary organisations and Experts by Experience with an interest in health and/or social care who are actively involved in the work of Healthwatch Worcestershire and represent the views of their patients, service users and carers. We currently have around 100 organisations on this group but we always want more people to get involved, so, if you are an organisation or an Expert by Experience and would like to join our REG please contact us on the details below.

CANCELLATION OF MEETING – Please note that due to Purdah (the period in the run-up to an election when there are restrictions in place) our next Public Meeting on 13th November has been cancelled.

Don’t forget we want to hear about your experiences of using health and social care services. We want you to have a say in how health and social care services are run and help you to hold services to account. If you would like to be kept up to date with our work, please Register for Information with us using the contact details below or by contacting us via our website.
