Worcester News Article – 17th June
Healthwatch Worcestershire’s Directors and staff attend many meetings run by the NHS to keep up to date with what is happening to services locally and to ask questions. At last weeks Acute Trust Public Board Meeting we had an early insight into the current findings of the Care Quality Commissions (CQC) inspection of the hospital services at the three main sites in Worcestershire. It was refreshing to see the CQC papers in public, as in past we have had to wait several months before seeing any comments from them. Their early observations and findings are a ‘mixed bag’ of good things and things that need improving. Healthwatch will wait for the final published CQC report before making a definitive comment. The CQC are still carrying out further inspection duties over the next few months and we await the final rating around Autumn time.
Have you had your say on the future of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning groups (CCGs)? There have been a number of drop-in events held across both Counties with two more in Herefordshire this week. There is also a consultation available to complete online here bit.ly/HWmerge. The consultation closes on 30th June.
