Worcester News Article – 4th June
On 22nd May we presented our Autism Spectrum Conditions Report to Worcestershire’s Health and Wellbeing Board at County Hall. We outlined the key findings from our report and the action needed to improve services and support for people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and carers. We have received responses from Worcestershire County Council, Worcestershire Acute Trust and Worcestershire Health and Care Trust about how they intend to implement our recommendations, which are available on our website. We will be monitoring the implementation of these actions and working to gain further commitment to increasing understanding of Autism within local services over the next year.
We have now launched our latest survey and engagement topic – Going to the Dentist. Whether you visit the dentist regularly or hardly at all, we want to know what you think of Worcestershire’s dentists. What was your experience at the dentist like last time that you went? Are you confident you understand which treatments are available on the NHS and which treatments you pay privately for? If you are unhappy with your dentist do you know how to complain?
Let us know by completing our survey online via our website. Your answers will be anonymous and will help us get a better picture of services in Worcestershire. Alternatively, please get in touch if you would like any copies of the survey or would like us to visit your group to discuss experiences of going to the dentist.
Our Annual Conference is fast approaching. There are still some places left, so if you would like to join us on 28th June at Sixways Stadium, please get in touch. This will be an opportunity to hear about our work over the last year and to put your questions to the leaders of health and care services about the future of your NHS and social care in Worcestershire.
To find out more information about any of these issues, or to share your experiences of using local services, please contact Healthwatch Worcestershire on 01386 550 264, by email to email@example.com or visit our website at www.healthwatchworcestershire.co.uk
