Worcester News Article – 30th November
Thank you to those who joined our online Public Board Meeting last week. As well as a good discussion about our current areas of work, there were some important issues raised and useful contributions made by the members of public and local voluntary groups who took part.
Registration is now open for our NHS Question Time – Ask the Leaders, an online panel session on Monday 14th December. This will be held via Zoom and gives patients and members of the public an opportunity to put your questions to those who run our local health services, about the challenges and changes that Covid-19 has brought and how services are operating now and will be in the future. The panel will be made up of the Chief Executives of the NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group, Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust as well as the Chair of the Local Medical Committee, representing GP practices. Please get in touch or visit our website for more information about how to take part and submit your question for the panel.
We are aware of the huge impact that Covid-19 and the resulting ongoing restrictions have had on people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health this year. This week we are launching a survey for young people aged 13 to 19 about how the pandemic has made them feel, what is worrying them and the best ways for them to find information and get support. We are especially keen to hear what young people think about different types of support and the use of technology, such as online support and the use of video calls and apps.
We are still running our Dental Survey, to enable us to gather further feedback about the issues people in Worcestershire have had during the pandemic in receiving dental treatment, both urgent and routine, and in registering as a new patient with local NHS practices.
