Worcester News Article – 22nd April
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been talking to people across the county about their views on how the changes in the NHS Long Term Plan can be implemented locally. Members of the SpeakEasy N.O.W Forum had many suggestions about how changes could help people with a learning disability: find visiting the doctors or hospital easier; stay at home rather than hospital when they are poorly; keep and stay healthy and how technology could be used to help keep healthy. We have spoken with a group of Muslim women from Worcester about prevention and self-care. The women gave us many suggestions about what would help them stay and keep well and how technology can play a part in this. We held a focus group in Pershore during which people suggested many ways in which the changes of the Plan could be implemented locally. Thank you to everyone for their valuable input into the discussions.
