Worcester News Article – 21st October
Last Wednesday evening we started our engagement with the LGBT+ community in Worcestershire by holding a focus group at the Hive in Worcester. We are really grateful to all those who came along to share their experiences of accessing local health services and to help us shape our upcoming survey and engagement. We will be distributing the survey shortly and visiting groups across the County, so keep an eye on our social media and website or contact us on the details below to get involved.
Speakeasy N.O.W a self-advocacy charity run by people with learning disabilities invited us to join them at their AGM last week. We would like to thank everyone involved for such an engaging and informative event.
On Wednesday 9th October Healthwatch attended an event hosted by the Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) for Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). The event was an opportunity to network with other organisations and share best practice. With most Doctors Surgeries across Worcestershire having a PPG it is one way for you to get involved and have your voice heard. If you are interested in joining a PPG you should contact your GP Practice directly.
