Worcester News Article – 19th April

The Covid-19 vaccination programme continues across Worcestershire, with the latest announcement that people 45 and over are now being invited to book appointments. We want to hear about concerns people may have about having a vaccination, via our latest survey, so that we can help those running the vaccination programme in Worcestershire understand more about what these concerns are and where people are looking to find information.

Our surveys gathering experiences of being discharged from hospital during Covid-19 will be closing on 23rd April, so if you or someone you care for has been discharged from hospital since March 2020 and you have not yet completed a survey, please visit our website to share your feedback.

The Coronavirus Information page of our website contains links to lots of information and resources related to Covid-19. Including a Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group website page dedicated to Covid-19 vaccination information. There is also information and resources in a variety of formats such as different languages, Easy Read and BSL and updates about local services and support available.

A number of the meetings we take part in focus specifically on issues related to Covid-19. Including last week’s Worcestershire Outbreak Control Plan Engagement Briefing, discussing how current messages about Covid-19 are being communicated and the best ways of engaging with communities across Worcestershire. Last week we also delivered an online session to Health and Social Care students at the University of Worcester about the importance of engaging with patients, service users and carers and gathering students’ feedback about emotional wellbeing during Covid-19.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on our work over the last year and will continue to be a key theme. We are currently refreshing our business plan and upcoming projects, based on the feedback and issues raised by patients, service users and carers, through our recent work and people contacting us to share their experiences. We would encourage anyone to get in touch to share experiences of local services, which can be done anonymously on the Tell Us page of our website.

Please visit our website www.healthwatchworcestershire.co.uk to take part in our current surveys and tell us about your experiences of local health and care services in confidence. Or contact us on 01386 550264 / info@healthwatchworcestershire.co.uk
