Worcester News Article – 11th March
We would like you to come along to our next Public Board Meeting on Wednesday 13th March. It is your opportunity hear presentations from your local NHS Commissioners about the NHS Long term Plan and ask questions. We will also be presenting two of our most recent reports; Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Report and Service User and Carer Experience of the Mental Health Home Treatment Service Report. The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre in Pershore. Agenda and further details are available on our website or by contacting us on the details below.
Over the month of March, we will be carrying out a survey in the three Fracture Clinics which are run in Worcestershire at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, The Alexandra Hospital and Kidderminster Hospital. We are finding out people’s experiences of using the Clinic including waiting times, satisfaction with appointments, positive feedback and ideas about what could be improved and how. We will produce a report with recommendations about how the service might be improved from a patient perspective to Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust who fully support us carrying out this survey.
On Saturday we attended the Retirement Roadshow at the Guild Hall in Worcester. We spoke to lots of people about Healthwatch and our work. People talked to us about their experiences of using local health and social care services and shared with us how services could be improved from a patient perspective. Thank you to everyone who came to chat to us.
If you would like to know more our work or have an experience of health or social care to share with us in confidence, please contact us on 01386 550 264 or firstname.lastname@example.org
